Metal roofs for residential homes are a class of their own. In looks and durability.
Not only much metal roofing more durable than asphalt shingles metal roofing is usually less costly for reroofing an existing residential building.
Replacement metal roofs are much more resistant to wind and hail since each panel is a full length from the top of the roof peak to the eaves. Typically panels are 12-36” in width and are screwed in place rather than nailed like shingles.
Metal roofs are also known to last up to 3x longer.
Another benefit is to install metal roof over the existing shingle roof.
This can save time and money since the original roof will not need to be torn off.

Ribbed metal roof panels are the most economical residential metal roofing available. This type of metal roofing usually gives you the most bang for your buck.
The screws for the ribbed panel are exposed. But blend in well with the roof.
The metal thickness is generally 26 - 28 ga. material and is cut to length required for each individual roof.
Standing metal roofs are considered the ultimate in metal roofing in both appearance and durability.
The heavier gauge steel 24 - 26 ga. is extremely resistant to extreme weather.
The hidden fasteners system means there are no exposed screws. This offers excellent weather resistance and a smooth appearance.
